Camping out of your comfort zone

According to this article in April's 2013 Child Magazine, there's a reluctance to venture out into the wilds and pitch a tent due to an unwillingness to leave the usual creature comforts and a perception that camping itself is somehow dangerous.  As it turns out, generally the kids thrive, love the bush as a playground, the ocean as a bath, and that any real anxiety is simply fed by the parents uncertainty.

Risk

Most parents are concerned about the kind of person their child will grow up to be, and the kind of risks they'll take along the way.

Left Hand Drive

In Left Hand Drive, Craig McGregor reflects on his personal journey, writing about and living through some of the most compelling and defining events of modern times.

From meeting his lifelong partner on a legendary ban the-bomb march in the UK, listening to the unreleased Blonde on Blonde with an ‘attentive’ Bob Dylan, and following the twists and turns of Canberra’s corridors of power from Whitlam to Gillard, Left Hand Drive sees this two-time Walkley Award winner at full throttle. Sometimes literally at the wheel of a left hand drive Kombi.

‘This is a memoir to treasure, from a wise and talented observer of the past half century.' Kerry O'Brien

‘Craig is hip to the hip but not really hip.’ Bob Dylan
